Strive held 29,462 Bitcoin on October 2, according to its October 13 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Bitcoin Holdings Jump Again

The purchase followed another major acquisition one week earlier. Strive filed an October 5 disclosure showing that it bought 2,000 Bitcoin from September 28 through October 2 at an average price of approximately $84,422 per coin.

Together, the two filings show Strive added 5,311 Bitcoin in two weeks.

The latest filing also shows cash and cash equivalents rose $25.6 million during the week, from $284.7 million on October 2 to $310.3 million on October 9. Strive held 505,000 shares of Strategy Inc.’s STRC preferred stock with a fair value of approximately $50.3 million.

Strive describes itself as a structured finance company that uses Bitcoin as a hurdle rate for capital deployment. Its wholly owned Strive Asset Management subsidiary manages almost $3 billion across exchange-traded funds and a direct-indexing platform, according to the company’s investor-relations site.

Share Count Also Rises

Strive’s Bitcoin holdings rose about 11.2% during the week, while its effective common shares outstanding increased about 9.4%.

Class A shares outstanding increased by 9,461,103 to 101,169,907. Effective common shares, which combine Class A and Class B shares, rose by 9,448,218 to 110,387,204.

Shares underlying traditional warrants fell by 7,993,806 to 15,255,900. The filing states that exercising those warrants requires payment of the exercise price to Strive. The filing does not establish how much of the Bitcoin purchase, if any, came from warrant exercises or other share activity.

The filing also lists dilution from additional Class A common stock or SATA preferred stock among risks that could affect future results.

Strive’s August second-quarter results show how Bitcoin volatility can affect its financial statements. The company said it posted a $257.6 million GAAP net loss for the quarter. Fair-value declines in its Bitcoin and STRC holdings accounted for $234 million of that loss.

The Dallas Express previously covered CEO Matthew Cole’s June 2025 remarks about moving Strive’s headquarters to Dallas and making Bitcoin a central investment theme.

“I have not heard one single better system than Bitcoin.
