WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 If gas prices<\/a> decrease and the Iran war comes to an end, the GOP won\u2019t be spared from losing the midterms, according to a poll.<\/p>\n

According to a recent poll conducted by Politico<\/a>, many Americans don\u2019t see the GOP getting support before the midterms as gas prices are high and the war in Iran continues.<\/p>\n

According to the Politico poll, if gas went down by $1, only 10% of voters would consider voting Republican. Forty-six percent said that it would not have any real impact.<\/p>\n

When asked if the Iran war ended before the midterms, 46% of voters said that it would not impact the way they voted and 36% said they would still be unlikely to vote for the GOP.<\/p>\n

The voters were also asked about inflation. Forty-four percent of voters said that even if inflation fell to the lowest level that it\u2019s been in five years, it would not impact their lack of support for Republicans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a lot of the die is already cast,\u201d Mike Noble, the founder of an Arizona polling firm said to Politico. \u201cIt\u2019s tough talking to Republicans, unless they\u2019re just incredibly big die-hards. Like, how do they get motivated right now? Democrats are clearly motivated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Due to the high gas prices, Republicans running for the House and Senate have tried to distance themselves from President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
