Parents, chapter leaders and media personalities at the Moms for Liberty Joyful Warriors National Summit in Dallas raised concerns about school restroom policies, parental rights and children turning to artificial intelligence for emotional support in interviews with The Dallas Express.<\/p>\n
The summit<\/a> ran October 8 through October 11 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. The Dallas Express previously reported<\/a> on the event and reporter Carlos Turcios\u2019s scheduled participation in a panel on media and cultural influence.<\/p>\n Father challenges school response<\/p>\n Luis Rivera, a Massachusetts father, said in an interview<\/a> that he attended the summit to raise awareness about an incident involving his daughter at Rochester Memorial School.<\/p>\n Rivera alleged that a male student who identifies as a girl entered the girls\u2019 restroom, looked into his daughter\u2019s stall and pushed open the door while she was partially undressed.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been fighting the administration and the school board. They have remained silent. They will not answer me,\u201d Rivera told The Dallas Express.<\/p>\n DALLAS, TEXAS: A father told us at the Moms 4 Liberty Summit about his fight with a Massachusetts school district after an alleged disturbing incident involving his daughter and a transgender student. Rivera says he is filing a Title IX complaint.<\/p>\n @Carlos__Turcios \u2014 Carlos Turcios (@Carlos__Turcios) October 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Rivera said the district conducted an internal investigation and dismissed his concerns on June 24. He disputed its findings and said he was seeking federal intervention.<\/p>\n The family\u2019s attorney detailed those allegations in a May 19 complaint<\/a> and demand letter to school officials. The Massachusetts Liberty Legal Center also said it filed a federal Title IX complaint with the U.S. Department of Education\u2019s Office for Civil Rights.<\/p>\n In an August 24 update<\/a>, the legal center said the school investigation found that the male student opened the occupied stall and looked inside, but concluded that the incident did not qualify as sexual harassment under Title IX.<\/p>\n The same update quoted the superintendent describing the incident as \u201ca 9-year-old student opening an unlocked bathroom stall that was in use by another 9-year-old student.\u201d The legal center disputed the school\u2019s conclusion and said it continued pursuing legal remedies.<\/p>\n The Dallas Express reviewed the family\u2019s redacted complaint and the legal center\u2019s public statements but has not obtained the full investigative decision or a federal ruling in the case.<\/p>\n \u201cI refuse to back down. I will continue to fight this until some kind of solution is done for the protection of the little girls in bathrooms and in sports, this is just unacceptable,\u201d Rivera said.<\/p>\n Parents seek a focus on academics<\/p>\n Marsha McClary, a Moms for Liberty chapter chair from Lake County, Illinois, described how the organization helped her connect with other parents and advocates after the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a fantastic organization. I found during COVID we had a small local group, and it was great to connect with a broader professional network where we can share curriculums and learnings with each other, and build off of each other too for a common goal, which is parental rights and educational success,\u201d McClary told The Dallas Express.<\/p>\n McClary identified government overreach, academic distractions and controversial classroom materials among her principal concerns.<\/p>\n \u201cWe should be working on core academics,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n AI and emotional support<\/p>\n Angela Belcamino, a content creator known as the \u201cBold Lib,\u201d discussed her political evolution and concerns about AI chatbots in a separate interview<\/a> at the summit.<\/p>\n Belcamino said she had left the Democratic Party and wanted to call out political extremes.<\/p>\n MOMS FOR LIBERTY SUMMIT: I interviewed @AngelaBelcamino at the Moms for Liberty Summit!
