One of country music\u2019s biggest stars is getting an exhibit at a Fort Worth museum.<\/p>\n

The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame<\/a> announced Tuesday that \u201cMiranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo\u201d will be the inaugural exhibition at its new Icons Gallery, which opens Nov. 7. The gallery is part of the museum\u2019s new 16,000-square-foot expansion; the venue will shut its doors Oct. 19 to prepare for the reopening.<\/p>\n

Lambert worked with the museum on the exhibit, which features the one-of-a-kind wardrobe she wore during her \u201cVelvet Rodeo\u201d residency in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first visited the National Cowgirl Museum, I was so inspired by all of the amazing Western pieces on display that I sent a bunch of photos to my stylist, Tiffany. We mixed that inspiration with the heyday of Elvis to create the \u2018Velvet Rodeo\u2019 wardrobe,\u201d Lambert said in a press release. \u201cSeeing these pieces now have a life beyond the stage as part of the museum\u2019s new Icons Gallery feels really full circle and special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lambert was inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 2021<\/a> for her contribution to country music.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiranda\u2019s confidence, determination and independence make her a wonderful representative of the women we honor,\u201d museum executive director Pat Riley said in a press release. \u201cOpening our Icons Gallery with this collaboration celebrates her accomplishments while giving visitors a new way to connect with a cowgirl they know and admire.\u201d<\/p>\n

The museum points out that Lambert\u2019s \u201cVelvet Rodeo\u201d wardrobe was mainly seen in motion and under stage lights during the residency. Now, visitors will be able to see the garb up close.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiranda\u2019s \u2018Velvet Rodeo\u2019 styling was inspired by historic garments from iconic western tailors which she saw on display at the museum,\u201d museum curator Ashley Kowalski said. \u201cWe are honored to give her residency wardrobe a new stage where the collection can be appreciated in its entirety.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lambert was recently in Fort Worth at Billy Bob\u2019s Texas<\/a> for an album release show for \u201cCrisco,\u201d her record that came out Oct. 2.<\/p>\n
