Police say they believe the man was robbed at a nearby apartment complex before driving himself to a shopping center.<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 Houston police are investigating after a man was found with a serious head injury after allegedly being robbed and struck with either a stick or club.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to Westpark and Gessner Road after getting two separate calls. One was from a third-party and said there had been a road rage shooting. The other call was from the victim, who said he had been robbed by a known individual and then struck in the head.<\/p>\n

Lt. Larry Crowson said the man was found at a shopping center in a vehicle. He had an injury to his head and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Crowson also acknowledged the situation is a bit confusing.<\/p>\n

Westside and Midwest officers are at Westpark and Gessner. Adult male transported in critical condition. Initial reports are that the male was injured during a robbery by a known suspect. 202 https:\/\/t.co\/P1pzGdXgjp<\/p>\n

Crowson says they haven\u2019t ruled out the possibility of the victim being shot and said there may have been a shooting nearby, but do believe the man was robbed at a nearby apartment complex before making his way to the shopping center.<\/p>\n

Crowson also said the man may have come into a store at the strip mall earlier in the day with an injury to his head, although not as severe as when they found him.<\/p>\n

He says they know who the suspect is and believe this to be an isolated incident.<\/p>\n
