The tour is scheduled to conclude Monday, Nov. 2, at the Alamo in San Antonio, according to an announcement from Team Paxton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Stops are planned in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, the Austin area, El Paso, Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa, San Angelo, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Brownsville, McAllen, Laredo, Corpus Christi, Victoria, Tyler and Beaumont, among other communities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Paxton will be joined by special guests during the tour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The campaign said the tour\u2019s message is focused on Paxton\u2019s record as attorney general and his pledge to fight what he describes as threats to Texans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cWhen they come after Texans, Ken Paxton goes after them,\u201d the campaign said in its announcement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Paxton pointed to his legal actions against drug cartels, companies involved in the opioid crisis and technology companies as examples of his work. His office has also pursued numerous lawsuits against the Biden administration over policies involving Texas jobs, energy and border security.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">\u201cIn Texas, \u2018Come and Take It\u2019 has never been a slogan. It\u2019s a promise,\u201d Paxton said in the announcement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">He also criticized James Talarico, accusing the Democratic politician of being supported by national Democrats and Silicon Valley billionaires.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The tour\u2019s name references the historic \u201cCome and Take It\u201d flag associated with the Texas Revolution. In 1835, Texans in Gonzales displayed the flag featuring a cannon and a lone star as Mexican troops sought to take possession of a cannon held by local residents. The confrontation became an early flashpoint in the Texas Revolution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The bus tour will run through Election Day, with campaign events planned across the state.
