Construction is expected to begin Dec. 1 and wrap up in March 2029, with total costs estimated at $713.9 million. The filings also outline three parking garages totaling 2.8 million square feet, including one sized at 1.1 million square feet. The garages are expected to cost $271.6 million, while a separate utility plant would add another $75.8 million. These components share the same construction timeline as the eight other buildings.

This story continues below.

Combined, the filings outline roughly $1.06 billion in construction costs. TDLR filings are preliminary and subject to change, but they offer an early look at construction plans as AT&T moves closer to breaking ground. The progress also brings AT&T one step closer to leaving Whitacre Tower in downtown Dallas, where it has been headquartered since relocating from San Antonio in 2008. The company’s lease at the 37-story tower runs through 2031. Those are some of the most concrete details yet about the construction process for this huge corporate relocation. AT&T has been relatively tight-lipped about progress. Representatives for the company and the city of Plano could not immediately be reached for comment.

The filings come just weeks after the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a site plan for the new campus. Demolition of Ross Perot’s former Electronic Data Systems campus is still ongoing at the roughly 54-acre site along Legacy Drive and Parkwood Boulevard. The northern half of the campus has been cleared, opening up a large expanse for new construction.

A flurry of new construction filings sheds more light on the size, cost and construction timeline of AT&T…

[9
102,104,103
post-467406","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-dallas","tag-dallas","tag-dallas-headlines","tag-dallas-news
["GET
