{"id":467576,"date":"2026-10-16T06:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T06:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/467576\/"},"modified":"2026-10-16T06:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T06:22:08","slug":"nearly-16000-el-paso-electric-customers-lose-power-amid-strong-winds-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/467576\/","title":{"rendered":"Nearly 16,000 El Paso Electric customers lose power amid strong winds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 Thousands of El Paso Electric customers are without power on Thursday night amid strong winds.<\/p>\n<p>According to El Paso Electric&#8217;s outage map, as of 10:05 p.m. on Thursday, multiple outages are reported, with nearly 16,000 customers without power across El Paso and New Mexico. <\/p>\n<p>The outages come as strong winds continue to hit across the borderland on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to EP Electric&#8217;s outage map, there are 60 outages across the borderland, with an estimated restoration time listed at 10:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to KFOX14\/CBS4, EP Electric said, &#8220;Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
