American election concept form with pen and flag.\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) \u2014 Texas election officials say a voter registration backlog caused by a software glitch has been cleared ahead of early voting, which begins Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The problem began last October when the Texas Department of Public Safety failed to transmit hundreds of thousands of voter registration applications and updates to county election offices.<\/p>\n<p>Harris County alone had more than 75,000 delayed records. The Texas Secretary of State\u2019s office said Thursday it was not aware of any counties with pending applications. Officials have not disclosed the total number affected or fully explained the technical failure.<\/p>\n<p>Voters whose names are missing from the rolls can still cast provisional ballots.<\/p>\n<p>More about:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Voter registration application form with USA flag in the backdrop.
