It’s every coffee lover’s dream \u2014 Downtown El Paso hosts it’s first-ever “Cafecito Crawl” event as the coffee scene continues to grow in the heart of the Sun City.<\/p>\n
As one of the biggest coffee lovers, it was only appropriate that Good Morning El Paso’s Nicole Ardila joins a couple of the several coffee businesses on Friday morning that are teaming up\u00a0to for the coffee tour this weekend. <\/p>\n
The Downtown Management District says the coffee community is expanding, with more than five new caf\u00e9s opening in 2026 alone.<\/p>\n
Breakroom Coffee and District Coffee join Good Morning El Paso with a preview of their tastings, and explain what makes this community so special.<\/p>\n
Brian Gatewood, owner of Breakroom Coffee and a barista himself, says they bounce ideas off of each other, making it a collective community rather than competition.<\/p>\n
District Coffee manager Omar Qui\u00f1onez says showing off 10 coffee locations allows people to explore the businesses where they can grab a cup, meet with friends or colleagues and make connections.<\/p>\n
Those 10 local businesses are bringing the community a self-guided\u00a0event full of coffee, pastries and exploring through downtown.<\/p>\n
Tickets sold out within two days of the announcement, but if you got yours, it includes eight 4 oz. coffee samples, two pastry samples and a commemorative\u00a0Cafecito\u00a0Crawl\u00a0souvenir mug.<\/p>\n
Participants will receive a punch card featuring all 10 stops and a QR code linking to the event map.<\/p>\n
There is no set route, which allows participants to visit the businesses in any order at their own pace.<\/p>\n
The Downtown El Paso\u00a0Cafecito\u00a0Crawl is on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.<\/p>\n
