After 19 years in business in Keller, DoubleDave\u2019s Pizzaworks<\/a> has a new owner. John Alexandrides sold his franchise to Daniel Davis, who operates a location in San Angelo.<\/p>\n

The two started talking at a meeting with franchise owners and Alexandrides expressed interest in selling. The transaction happened in July and since then, Davis has been upgrading the business.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What happened\u00a0<\/p>\n

Changes to the dining area include a new menu board, a new fountain machine for beverages, a new salad bar and some painting touch-ups, Davis said.\u00a0The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony<\/a> Sept. 10 for the new ownership group. <\/p>\n

In addition, he applied for a license from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission to sell beer. Davis said Oct. 13 that the city and county had signed off on the addition to the menu. One of the popular orders in San Angelo is delivering pizza with a six pack of beer.<\/p>\n

DoubleDave\u2019s Pizzaworks sells pizza, sandwiches, salads and dessert pizza. <\/p>\n

The restaurant also has a pizza of the month<\/a>. The October flavor is The Bee\u2019s Knees, which has cupped and charred pepperoni, hot honey sausage, basil and Mike\u2019s Hot Honey on a hand-tossed crust. There is also a new Snickerdoodle dessert pizza.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In November, the special will be a Thanksgiving pizza that includes brown gravy instead of traditional pizza sauce, turkey, stuffing, cheese and a cranberry sauce drizzle. Davis, who has run the San Angelo location for six years, said he was skeptical at first when he heard of the Thanksgiving pizza, but said it works well and is worth trying.\u00a0<\/p>\n

DoubleDave\u2019s offers a lunch buffet daily from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and buffets on Sunday and Wednesday nights from 5-8 p.m., Davis said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"After 19 years in business in Keller, DoubleDave\u2019s Pizzaworks has a new owner.
