The project is approaching a key milestone this week with the installation of the final structural beam, Senior Public Information Officer Ana Flores said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792208049_495_.jpeg\"  \/>The design of the new terminal will showcase San Antonio&#8217;s regional culture and hospitality. Rendering courtesy San Antonio International Airport<\/p>\n<p>What to expect<\/p>\n<p>Spanning over 850,000 square feet, the new terminal will have an overall design tailored to showcase San Antonio\u2019s regional culture and hospitality, Flores said. The terminal will have:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A centralized security screening checkpoint\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Expanded international arrivals processing\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>41,000 square feet of dining and retail space\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Updated airline lounges\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Work is also progressing on the Terminal C parking garage and ground transportation center. The seven-story garage will introduce about 2,600 parking spaces and connect directly to the terminal with a covered, climate-controlled walkway. The new ground transportation hub will centralize ride-booking services to ease curbside traffic congestion, Flores said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTerminal C is the centerpiece of <a href=\"https:\/\/flysanantonio.com\/business\/about-saas\/terminal-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Elevate\/SAT<\/a>, our long-term vision for investing in the airport\u2019s infrastructure and preparing for the future of San Antonio and our region,\u201d Flores said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792208050_327_.jpeg\"  \/>Terminal C will also have large waiting areas.
