But since 2024, dozens of companies have moved to other states like Texas, Nevada and Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>Billionaire Elon Musk very publicly reincorporated his companies after a Delaware <a href=\"https:\/\/spectrumlocalnews.com\/tx\/south-texas-el-paso\/news\/2025\/06\/24\/texas-make-changes-to-lure-business-amid--dexit--concern\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">judge struck down his shareholder-approved $56 billion compensation package<\/a> from Tesla. Musk called on other business owners to follow in his footsteps and reincorporate elsewhere. Tesla and SpaceX have since reincorporated in Texas, and Neuralink moved to Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>Texas, along with some other states, has been vying to become the business capital of America. The state opened a business court last year, and Gov. Greg Abbott has signed legislation aimed at providing greater securities for corporations.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/spectrumlocalnews.com\/tx\/dallas-fort-worth\/news\/2025\/09\/22\/texas-stock-exchange-aims-to-launch-within-a-year\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Stock Exchange<\/a> is also expected to open in the Dallas area sometime next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"TEXAS \u2014 Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is planning to reincorporate in Texas, according to a regulatory filing.
