LUBBOCK, Texas<\/a> \u2014 An investigation is currently ongoing by the Lubbock Police Department\u2019s Major Crash Unit following a collision along Interstate 27 that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tSemi-truck rollover crash leaves driver seriously injured on I-27\t<\/a><\/p>\n

Lubbock Police were initially called to I-27 and Keuka Street just after midnight on October 16 for a report of a collision with injuries. Upon arrival, Officers located Russell Mabry, 61, trapped inside a semi-truck. After being extracted by Lubbock Fire Rescue, he was transported to University Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Investigations revealed, the semi was traveling south when Mabry attempted to avoid striking debris from a previous wreck which occurred a short time before.
