The E.W. Scripps Company (NASDAQ: SSP) has named local media sales leader Kristen Darden to the role of general manager and director of sales for KRIS, the Scripps-owned NBC affiliate in Corpus Christi, Texas, and KAJA, the Telemundo affiliate in Corpus Christi.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Darden is a Corpus Christi native who has spent 13 years at the stations in various leadership positions. For the last decade, she has served as the local sales manager, leading the sales team responsible for revenue across broadcast, digital and social platforms. Prior to that role, she served as the internet director.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Darden is active in the community, currently serving as the president of the Texas Gulf Surfing Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts in communication from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.\u00a0<\/p>\n
