All rights reserved.Download Photo<\/p>\n<p>The temple will be built on a 6.4-acre site located at the northeast corner of Northern Pass Drive and Paseo del Norte Blvd., El Paso, Texas. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 22,300 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the 10th temple in <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org\/facts-and-statistics\/state\/texas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas<\/a>. The state is home to approximately 400,000 members of the Church, meeting in more than 750 congregations. <\/p>\n<p>The El Paso Texas Temple was <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org\/article\/october-2024-general-conference-new-temples\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> in October 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated temples in Texas are located in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofjesuschrist.org\/temples\/details\/dallas-texas-temple?lang=eng\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofjesuschrist.org\/temples\/details\/houston-texas-temple?lang=eng\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Houston<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofjesuschrist.org\/temples\/details\/lubbock-texas-temple?lang=eng\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lubbock<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofjesuschrist.org\/temples\/details\/san-antonio-texas-temple?lang=eng\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Antonio<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofjesuschrist.org\/temples\/details\/mcallen-texas-temple?lang=eng\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">McAllen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints differ from meetinghouses or chapels where members and friends of the Church meet for Sunday worship services. Each temple is considered a house of the Lord where Jesus Christ\u2019s teachings are reaffirmed\u00a0and His power enables families to be united for eternity.
