Upcoming projectsCarl Stern and FM 685 intersection improvements<\/a><\/p>\n Project: The project will include construction of a right-turn lane at the westbound approach of Carl Stern Drive to the intersection of FM 685 in Hutto. <\/p>\n Update: The contractor submitted full design plans to the city for review in September.<\/p>\n Freedom River Parkway East and West<\/a><\/p>\n Project: Construction of new east-west roadway connections from Hwy. 29 to RM 1869 and from Bagdad Road, or CR 279, to Hwy. 29, improving Liberty Hill bypass connectivity.<\/p>\n Update: Both projects remain in the design phase through 2026 as part of the Liberty Hill bypass connectivity network.<\/p>\n Timeline: early 2027\u2013early 2029<\/p>\n Cost: $36.3 million (East); $61.5 million (West)<\/p>\n Funding source: Williamson County 2023 road bond<\/p>\n Leander Road<\/a><\/p>\n Project: The project will expand Leander Road to four lanes from Southwest Bypass to Norwood Drive in Georgetown. <\/p>\n Update: As of September, all right of way has been acquired and utilities are continuing to be relocated. The Texas Department of Transportation will begin construction next October.<\/p>\n Ongoing projectsKelly Lane intersection improvements<\/a><\/p>\n Project: The project consists of dedicated left-turn lanes, U-turn lanes and signal modifications at Kelly Lane in Pflugerville. Once completed, both frontage roads will have two straight lanes, two left-turn lanes with one acting as a turnaround lane combination, and one right-turn lane.<\/p>\n Update: City Council approved the construction contract with Joe Bland Construction on Aug. 11. Construction began in early October.<\/p>\n
