After a decade of collecting and selling antique jewelry online, Antiques by Anna<\/a> owner Anna Mazaikina has brought her passion for vintage finds to a brick-and-mortar shop in North Austin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meet the owner <\/p>\n

Originally from Moscow, Russia, Mazaikina began her jewelry journey in 2015 after moving to Austin. What started as a blog to research and share her interest in American costume jewelry from the 1920s to 1940s soon attracted fellow collectors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After 10 years of operating primarily online, Mazaikina opened the storefront on Oct. 1, 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Having a physical location has allowed the customer base to expand, Mazaikina said. While online shoppers are primarily people who “know what they want” or collectors looking for a particular piece, the shop brings in people who are simply curious about antiques, she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you see how the customers perceive jewelry when they touch it, when they try it on, it’s a different experience,\u201d Mazaikina said.<\/p>\n

What they offer <\/p>\n

The shop’s collection spans from the 1860s to the 1990s, featuring Victorian-era and Art Deco jewels and late-20th century pieces from luxury brands like Dior and Chanel. Customers can find rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, brooches and other collectibles including vintage purses and perfume bottles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy main vision is to bring authentic vintage jewelry with a history, not just anything used,\u201d Mazaikina said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Some of the shop\u2019s most popular items are its antique lockets, which often retain their original photos, Mazaikina said. The shop also draws in customers looking to shop local for gifts, or couples looking for unique engagement rings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The business has taken Mazaikina to jewelry and antique shows across the world, including Boston, New York, London and Paris, to add to her collection. <\/p>\n

She also continues to work with collectors she has connected with over the years, and has even collected and sold pieces that have been published in books or that can be found in Paris museums.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mazaikina describes her shop as a creative space, one that offers something people may not necessarily need on an everyday basis but where they can find something different while supporting an independent business.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI want customers to know that if they come across such places where they feel unique, they need to appreciate the amount of work,\u201d Mazaikina said. \u201c[The business] grows with customer support and community.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
