A Fort Worth mansion originally built for a\u00a0Texas Rangers<\/a> co-owner is headed to auction for a second time.\u00a0<\/p>\n The mansion, at 9553 Bella Terra Drive, was last listed for nearly $7.5 million, according to Zillow.\u00a0<\/p>\n The castle-like home in the gated Montserrat community had previously been put up for auction<\/a> in December 2025, but the sale fell through. The home\u00a0is returning for a second chance at auction.\u00a0<\/p>\n Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n The mansion will be listed for auction starting on Nov. 4<\/a>, according to Concierge Auctions, which is managing the bidding process. Starting bids are expected at between $2 million and $4 million. The auction will end Nov. 20. The mansion has been on and off the market since then.\u00a0<\/p>\n A previous auction took place in December and resulted in a winning bid of $6.72 million<\/a>, according to previous reporting from The Dallas Morning News.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, Hershenberg said the deal fell through. Hershenberg didn\u2019t say why the sale didn\u2019t go through. Bob Simpson stepped down as CEO<\/a> of his Fort Worth-based company TXO Partners LP in 2025. He remains the company\u2019s chairman.<\/p>\n Bob Simpson and his former wife, Janice Simpson, sold the property in 2021, according to the Tarrant Appraisal District. The mansion is currently owned by John\u00a0Lupo and Andreana Michael. The property, which is on two lots, has a total appraised value of nearly $3.5 million, according to the appraisal district.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
