{"id":471705,"date":"2026-10-20T15:43:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T15:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/471705\/"},"modified":"2026-10-20T15:43:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T15:43:09","slug":"alan-barnes-fine-art-presents-mireille-binoux-the-anthology-exhibition-opening-reception","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/471705\/","title":{"rendered":"Alan Barnes Fine Art presents Mireille Binoux: &#8220;The Anthology Exhibition&#8221; opening reception"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alan Barnes Fine Art will present a special Dallas anthology exhibition celebrating the vibrant life and distinguished career of French Colorist Mireille Gouirand, later known by her married name, Binoux.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Nice in 1929, Gouirand studied at the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and became immersed in the city\u2019s renowned post-war artistic and cultural scene, forming friendships with figures including painter Bernard Buffet, sculptor C\u00e9sar, singer Juliette Gr\u00e9co and actor Jean-Pierre Cassel. Her career later took her to the United States, where she won a major competition to design interior d\u00e9cor for New York\u2019s Waldorf Astoria Hotel and created work for its famed annual &#8220;April in Paris&#8221; celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Anthology Exhibition&#8221; will feature 24 original large-scale oil paintings. The gallery will also highlight a curated selection of 19th century American and European paintings, along with a separate collection of Texas regionalist works from David Dike Fine Art.
