LUBBOCK, TEXAS \u2013\u00a0West Texas A&M Volleyball (12-10, 7-4 LSC) got back in the win column Tuesday evening as they took down Lubbock Christian 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 24-26, 25-15).

\nThe first set saw the Lady Buffs burst out to a 6-1 advantage following a block by Parker Gladhill<\/a> and Kaycee Cavanaugh<\/a>. WT held firm on their lead as three straight kills with two by Anna Ruter<\/a> set the score at 13-8 in favor of West Texas A&M. LCU battled back to tie the match at 19 with seven kills during that stretch and took a one point lead at 20-19 after another swing. WT retied the match at 20 thanks to an attack error before Loewer and Ruter each produced a kill for the two-point advantage. The Lady Chaps rattled off a 3-0 run as they took a 23-22 lead. The Lady Buffs stayed calm against the Lubbock Christian momentum as a skip set by Loewer tied the match before she assisted Gladhill on a soft touch kill for the lead at 24-23. To secure the first set, Gladhill and Loewer combined for a block as they sent back a swing for point.

\nIn the second set, LCU used a 4-0 run to take a 7-4 lead. The Lady Buffs responded with a 7-1 run as they retook the lead at 11-8 after a kill by Ruter. LCU again battled back in the set as they held the 21-20 advantage. As they did in the first set, WT stayed resilient and capitalized on momentum with a 4-0 run to hold set point at 24-21. Ruter would seal the set win at 25-22 for the Lady Buffs off a kill.

\nSet three served as a set of runs as the Lady Chaps rattled off a 7-0 run before WT fired back with a 9-1 run to lead 17-13. The runs continued with a 4-0 LCU spurt which was met by a 3-0 run by the Lady Buffs as WT led 22-20. Lubbock Christian got to set point off a kill following a 3-0 run before Kaitlin Waak<\/a> tied the set at 24-24 with a kill. LCU took the next two points as they won set three 26-24.

\nThe fourth set started as a back-and-forth affair before West Texas A&M produced a 6-0 run with five kills during the stretch to lead 18-11. The Lady Buffs continued to pour it on as Skyler Massey<\/a> finished off the set and match with a kill as WT comfortably won set three 25-15 and ultimately the match at 3-1.

\nTop Lady Buffs<\/p>\n
\n\tCasey Loewer<\/a> stuffed the stat sheet with 46 assists, nine digs, six kills, and five blocks. This was Loewer’s fourth match with 46+ assists and sixth with 5+ blocks.
\n\tKaycee Cavanaugh<\/a> recorded her 15th double-double of the season with 18 digs and 17 kills. This was her fifth game with 18+ digs and sixth with 17+ kills. She also hit .250 while adding a block and ace.
\n\tAnna Ruter<\/a> hit .345 in the match as she produced 13 kills to go with three blocks. This was Ruter’s fifth game with 13+ kills.

\n\tWest Texas A&M is now 38-8-1 all-time against Lubbock Christian and have won eight straight matches.
\n\tWT led the match in points (71-65), kills (57-47), assists (53-45), digs (73-60), and hitting percentage (.199-.177).
\n\tParker Gladhill<\/a> produced seven\u00a0kills along with five blocks and one ace. This was a season-high in kills and her second-highest block total.
\n\tHannah Pemberton<\/a> totaled 20 digs with four assists and an ace. This was her fourth game with 20+ digs this season.
\n\tPauline Gonzales<\/a> dug a season-high 13 balls to go with an ace.
\n\tAvery Ramos<\/a> notched 10 digs and an ace in the match.
\n\tCaty Havekost<\/a> and Skyler Massey<\/a> recorded six and five kills respectively. Havekost tied her season-high in kills.
