It has been announced that President Donald Trump is coming to Lubbock<\/a> to hold a rally for Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race. The question to be asked, though, is if it’s enough.<\/p>\n

Trump Coming to Lubbock<\/p>\n

For security reasons, the exact location of the rally is not yet revealed to the public, but we do know that President Trump will be stopping in Lubbock to rally support behind Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race.<\/p>\n

The rally opens its doors at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, with a visit from the President himself scheduled for 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Tickets can be\u00a0acquired from the GOP website through this link<\/a>. Just a reminder that the maximum amount of tickets per signup is four.<\/p>\n

Why Rally Supporters?<\/p>\n

Although Trump will not be on the ballot anytime soon, he is making stops across Texas<\/a> to revive support for the Republican nominee for John Cornyn’s former U.S. Senate seat.<\/p>\n

It’s down to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Texas Senator James Talarico, and the race is much closer than many would prefer.<\/p>\n

According to recent polling from the University of Houston<\/a>, 48% of likely voters showed their support for Talarico with 46% siding with Paxton.<\/p>\n

CBS <\/a>and FOX also conducted their own polls which each put Talarico ahead of Paxton, 51% to 49%. Surprisingly enough, 4% of MAGA Republicans favored the Democratic Senator over Paxton.<\/p>\n

53% of voters, according to FOX’s poll<\/a>, said “very” or “extremely” when asked if Talarico’s stance on issues are\u00a0too liberal.<\/p>\n

The number-one issue that will drive voters’ decisions? Cost of living. Immigration and AI technology were the next important issues for voters.<\/p>\n

Is It Worth It?<\/p>\n

Returning to the question from the beginning, is Trump’s rally worth it? Has the pendulum swung too far at this point for Paxton? The Attorney General has had his fair share of scandals <\/a>in the past which many voters still remember.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Talarico has made some bold claims about religion<\/a>, the Texas oil and gas industry<\/a>, and the trans community<\/a> that many Texans found to be too radical.<\/p>\n

We will see how this plays out come November 3. Remember, early voting started Monday<\/a>, so Lubbock citizens can still cast their ballots for the U.S. Senate and other seats up for election this midterm cycle.<\/p>\n
