Drinks and food blended the lines between kitchen and bar, but it still wasn’t as experimental as what Rye and Apothecary are/were known for.

We were suckers for the tin fish selection served with flame griled bread; we said the savory cannoli was the best $14 you could spend in Plano, and most recently, Flamant’s $40 AYCE brunch won us over with its croquette scramble and shakshuka, which, for an additional $20, included bottomless mimosas.

Brunch spread at Flamant

These days, a lot of our favorite, locally owned restaurants are closing.
