{"id":473530,"date":"2026-10-22T16:24:28","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T16:24:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/473530\/"},"modified":"2026-10-22T16:24:28","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T16:24:28","slug":"junius-heightss-saturday-stroll-and-historic-home-tour-to-feature-lipscomb-elementary-garden-grand-opening-community-fun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/473530\/","title":{"rendered":"Junius Heights\u2019s Saturday Stroll and Historic Home Tour to feature Lipscomb Elementary garden grand opening &#038; community fun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tickets are still available for <a href=\"https:\/\/juniusheights.org\/saturday-stroll\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Junius Heights\u2019s Saturday Stroll and Historic Home Tour<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>This is an annual event, but this year is special because it marks the 120th anniversary of the Junius Heights \u201cland rush\u201d in 1906, where 200 lots were sold in less than an hour, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/juniusheights.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">historic district\u2019s website<\/a>. The neighborhood will also celebrate the grand opening of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lipscomb.dallasisd.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">William Lipscomb Elementary School<\/a> garden and outdoor learning space.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the homes on display, the Saturday Stroll and Historic Home Tour features live music in Munger Park and on two neighborhood porches, plus refreshments, local vendors and family-friendly activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJunius Heights is Dallas\u2019 hidden gem,\u201d said Sean McCort, Junius Heights Historic District president-elect, in a press release. \u201cWith more than 800 homes, we\u2019re the largest historic district in Dallas and boast one of the southwest\u2019s most remarkable collections of Arts and Crafts, Craftsman, Prairie and Tudor-style architecture. If you\u2019ve never heard of us, this is the perfect time to discover what makes our neighborhood so unique.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The festivities will go on from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 24. Admission for members is $25 and $30 for the general public, and they can be bought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeffy.com\/en-US\/ticketing\/tickets-saturday-stroll-historic-home-and-neighborhood-tour--2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
