For two of last year’s honorees, the experience meant more than personal achievement.

Regan Albertson, a 2025 “Outstanding Senior” finalist, and Mark Sayegh, the 2025 “Outstanding Senior” winner, said the recognition reflected their involvement in campus life and the people who supported them.

The process begins with student organizations nominating seniors who are involved on campus. Albertson was nominated by the Neeley Leadership Program, while Sayegh’s nomination came from One Shade Greener, an organization he founded during his freshman year.

Applications include an essay and résumé. Those materials, combined with a student-body vote, are used to select 10 finalists who then interview with faculty and staff.

“That was the most nervous I’ve ever been for an interview ever,” Albertson said.

For Albertson, the experience highlighted the value of involvement, mentorship and community impact. “I think it represents going above and beyond for your community,” she said.

Sayegh said, “I really do think it’s a reflection of the community, the friends and the culture that helped me get there.”

He described being selected as Outstanding Senior as the biggest honor he believed he could receive.

“I’ve always wanted to leave TCU better than I found it and embody those TCU values,” Sayegh said.

Their homecoming experiences included spending time with university leaders and fellow finalists and participating in the parade. For Sayegh, receiving the award from TCU’s chancellor brought feelings of gratitude, pride and joy.

“It was one of the best days of my life,” he said.

This year’s Homecoming Royalty winners will be announced at the Oct. 24 homecoming football game, which begins at 11 a.m., continuing TCU’s tradition of recognizing seniors and celebrating the campus community.

This year’s TCU Homecoming recognition will honor two winners, one king and one queen, under the title Homecoming…

[10
116,118,117
post-473688","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-fort-worth","tag-fort-worth","tag-fort-worth-headlines","tag-fort-worth-news
["GET
