President Donald Trump<\/a> is still headed to Texas next week<\/a>, just not to Waco. He’ll rally for Republicans in\u00a0Corpus Christi<\/a>\u00a0and Lubbock, including Ken Paxton in the Texas U.S. Senate race<\/a>, as early voting is already underway.<\/p>\n

KVUE<\/a>, an ABC affiliate in Austin, reported that Trump’s planned Oct. 27 visit to Waco was canceled, according to the office of U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions.<\/p>\n

But instead of going only to Lubbock in West Texas, an event page<\/a> from the Republican National Committee says Trump is headed to Corpus Christi that day.<\/p>\n

Trump to head to Corpus Christi instead of Waco for midterm rally<\/p>\n

The president will start his day in Corpus Christi<\/a>, Texas. The location of the rally has not been announced yet, but the event schedule is:<\/p>\n

10:30 a.m. CT: Doors open\u00a0<\/p>\n

12:30 p.m. CT: Program begins<\/p>\n

Trump to visit Lubbock for midterm rally for Republican candidates<\/p>\n

Trump will end his day in Lubbock<\/a> on Oct. 27. He was originally scheduled to speak in South Plains city at 2:30 p.m.; however, the event registration page shows a new schedule:<\/p>\n

Where does the Texas Senate race stand between Ken Paxton, James Talarico<\/p>\n

A Fox News\u00a0poll <\/a>released Oct. 21 showed Democrat\u00a0James Talarico\u00a0and Republican\u00a0Ken Paxton\u00a0tied at 49% each among likely Texas voters in the nationally watched\u00a0Texas Senate race.<\/p>\n

This marks a drop from Talarico’s two-point lead, 51% to 49%, in Fox News’ previous poll<\/a>. Here’s what other October polls have shown:<\/p>\n
