{"id":474,"date":"2025-10-13T15:43:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T15:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/474\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T15:43:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T15:43:10","slug":"schedule-for-qa-sessions-about-austin-isd-school-closures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/474\/","title":{"rendered":"Schedule for Q&#038;A sessions about Austin ISD school closures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AUSTIN, Texas \u00ad\u2014 Austin Independent School District\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spectrumlocalnews.com\/tx\/south-texas-el-paso\/news\/2025\/10\/06\/austin-isd-proposes-school-consolidations-and-closures-for-2026-27-school-year-\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">revealed<\/a>\u00a0plans on Oct. 3 to close 13 schools and consolidate academic programs due to growing budget concerns.<\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of the changes, which will take effect for the 2026-27 school year, the district is hosting open houses to answer questions and offer a deeper look into consolidation plans.<\/p>\n<p>Four sessions will be held throughout October and early November.
