Daniel Pullin has stepped down as chancellor of Texas Christian University after just over a year in the role, with former chancellor Victor Boschini returning to lead the Fort Worth university effective immediately. The change comes a year after Pullin was formally inaugurated with high expectations for TCU’s growth.

Here are the key takeaways:

Pullin informed TCU Board of Trustees chair Kit Moncrief of his decision to resign this week, according to a statement from the university. No reason was given for the resignation, nor were there details on any separation agreement.

A TCU spokesman said the university could not provide additional details beyond what was shared in the statement announcing Pullin’s departure and Boschini’s re-appointment.

Pullin was named TCU’s 11th chancellor on June 1, 2025. His inauguration took place on Nov. 6, 2025, at the Van Cliburn Concert Hall. At the event, Boschini told the crowd “the future is in excellent hands.”
