The restaurant will relaunch just steps away from its original location.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>How we got here<\/p>\n<p>Bar Peached caught fire at its original location at 1315 W. Sixth St., Austin <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/central-austin\/business\/downtown-austin-bar-closes-indefinitely-after-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">on May 31. <\/a>Malfunctioning kitchen equipment caused the fire, destroying the building\u2019s roof. Bar Peached has been closed ever since.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What we know<\/p>\n<p>Bar Peached will soon take over the space formerly occupied by Nightcap, another local restaurant, also located on W. Sixth Street. Nightcap closed on Oct. 22, according to a news release. The Bar Peached team will begin renovating the space next month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t see this as Nightcap closing, but more so as one chapter ending to make room for the next,\u201d Christin Rowan, owner of Nightcap, shared in the news release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s new<\/p>\n<p>Upon the relaunch, Bar Peached will evolve into a new concept: a vinyl bar serving craft cocktails and Asian-American tapas.
