The Tropical Smoothie Cafe chain is celebrating the opening of its 10th Alamo City location this weekend by offering free smoothies for a year to the first 50 customers in line.<\/p>\n

The grand opening ceremony kicks at 8 a.m. Saturday at the new location at 7411 N. Loop 1604 East, according to company officials. <\/p>\n

Those who didn\u2019t make the early cut, won\u2019t leave empty handed, though. Guests at the grand opening giveaway can still enjoy $1.99 smoothies all day, the owners said. <\/p>\n

Atlanta-based Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers customizable smoothies in addition to breakfast items like flatbreads, a\u00e7a\u00ed bowls and bacon wraps. The fast-casual concept also has savory entrees for lunch and dinner such as a turkey bacon ranch sandwich, quesadillas and protein-filled wraps. <\/p>\n

Tropical Smoothie Cafe has operated in San Antonio since at least 2018. It has more than 1,750 locations nationwide.<\/p>\n
