LifeSecure said Starscape will support the carrier as it explores new product development and portfolio expansion for its national distribution partners.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Starscape will not sell LifeSecure\u2019s accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity or long-term care products. It will work through a network of agents and distribution partners.<\/p>\n<p>From carrier to distribution<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The launch is the first major expansion since Dreamscape, a privately held, family-owned investment firm based in New York, bought LifeSecure. The deal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/lifesecure-insurance-company-names-new-president-and-ceo-300857704.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">completed on October 3, 2025<\/a>, when Ross Aron became president and CEO.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LifeSecure, founded in 2006, was previously owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and BCS Financial. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/difs.state.mi.us\/FormA\/Mainview\/OpenPDF?BlobID=2762295\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">filing with the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services<\/a>, Dreamscape agreed to pay $95.5 million.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">At the time of the deal, Dreamscape said LifeSecure would continue selling its existing products and explore opportunities to widen its range. Starscape appears to be part of that plan, although the company hasn\u2019t said which carriers or health products the agency will offer.<\/p>\n<p>No plans for competition<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For brokers and agents who sell LifeSecure\u2019s supplemental and long-term care products, the decision to keep those lines out of Starscape is notable. It suggests the carrier doesn\u2019t intend to compete with its existing distribution partners on its own products.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Starscape\u2019s role in product development is the key detail to watch. Agencies owned by carriers can give an insurer direct insight into consumer demand, which can shape new products before they are rolled out more widely.
