Police responded to the 12500 block of Sandpiper Drive around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 26.<\/p>\n

A man in his 40s was found dead after a shooting in southwest Houston Monday night, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n

Police responded to the 12500 block of Sandpiper Drive around 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 26.<\/p>\n

Houston Fire Department crews were at the scene and pronounced the victim dead, according to preliminary information.<\/p>\n

Family members identified the victim as a 46-year-old Black man. Police have not officially identified the victim, and it is unclear whether he lived at the apartment complex.<\/p>\n

No suspect information was immediately available.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
