City officials and business leaders gathered Oct. 21 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of Leander Union, a development located just east of the intersection of Crystal Falls Parkway and 183A Toll.<\/p>\n

The details<\/p>\n

The 13-acre mixed-use development features 10 buildings with more than 40 suites, according to the development\u2019s website<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stretching 155,000 square feet, Leander Union includes:<\/p>\n

40,000 square feet used by Northpoint Austin Church\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

65,000 square feet intended for retail and dining<\/p>\n

50,000 square feet intended for office space<\/p>\n

Westlake Dermatology<\/a> was the first business in the development to open Sept. 17, while Austin-based salon Mirror Mirror<\/a> also recently submitted a permit filing with the state to move into the development, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The development seeks to attract “a mix of local businesses, hospitality concepts and lifestyle tenants,” according to a news release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Leander Union features 468 parking spaces, according to the development’s site plans. Two buildings are zoned for retail and office space while seven are zoned for retail, dining or a mix of the two.\u00a0<\/p>\n
