{"id":479399,"date":"2026-10-28T15:32:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T15:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/479399\/"},"modified":"2026-10-28T15:32:14","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T15:32:14","slug":"mexican-coastal-concept-mi-vecino-to-open-in-south-austin-southwest-austin-dripping-springs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/479399\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexican coastal concept Mi Vecino to open in South Austin | Southwest Austin &#8211; Dripping Springs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Austinites can soon dine at a new coastal Mexican restaurant called Mi Vecino, or &#8220;my neighbor.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meet the team<\/p>\n<p>Mi Vecino is a Roya Hospitality Group concept from Amir and Ali Hajimaleki.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve always wanted this space to be a place where the neighborhood comes together,\u201d Amir Hajimaleki said in a news release. \u201cMi Vecino gives us an opportunity to create something fresh and exciting while still staying true to our original vision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s on the menu<\/p>\n<p>The menu will feature seafood and traditional Mexican flavors cooked over an open flame, according to the news release. <\/p>\n<p>Anticipated menu items include:<\/p>\n<p>Some context<\/p>\n<p>Mi Vecino will take over the space that previously housed <a href=\"https:\/\/keepersaustin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Keepers Coastal Kitchen,<\/a> which closed on Oct. 24. A spokesperson for Roya Hospitality Group said that Mi Vecino will keep some favorite menu items from Keepers. <\/p>\n<p>Opening early 2027<\/p>\n<p>5701 W. Slaughter Lane, Bldg.
