Officer Daniel Trujillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 A South Texas police department says one of it\u2019s officers was found dead inside his Houston apartment last Friday.<\/p>\n

Officer Daniel Trujillo, 36, served with the Taft Police Department for three years, according to the agency.<\/p>\n

Houston police say Trujillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds at his apartment located at 11070 Katy Freeway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring his time with our department, he served our community with dedication and commitment, and his loss is deeply felt by those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him,\u201d the Taft Police Department said. \u201cOur thoughts, prayers, and sincere condolences are with Officer Trujillo\u2019s family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched during this incredibly difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
