It\u2019s going to be quite a show, and it\u2019s all for a great cause.<\/p>\n<p>The F-22 headlines<\/p>\n<p>The skies over San Marcos become the main event. Fighter jets will fly overhead, and warbirds will line the ramp. You\u2019ll feel the roar of the aircraft in your chest.<\/p>\n<p>Tim Scherer, president and founder of Wings and Warriors, says the F-22 Raptor is the headliner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019ve ever seen it fly, you know, it makes physics optional. It\u2019s absolutely amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He promises plenty of spectacle: \u201cThere\u2019s literally noise and smoke and fire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three hours of flying, both days<\/p>\n<p>Scherer is a Delta pilot with a passion for flying. He\u2019s helping bring the air show to town November 7th and 8th, with more than three hours of flying each day.<\/p>\n<p>The lineup includes aerobatic aircraft and warbirds. The Texas National Guard opens the show with a four-ship of F-16s flying overhead. There\u2019s also a static display of aircraft on the ground.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbsaustin.com\/news\/tech-this-out\/apple-ceo-john-ternus-joins-austin-fourth-graders-to-have-fun-with-tech-toys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ALSO| Apple CEO John Ternus visits Austin fourth graders learning to code<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A piece of D-Day history<\/p>\n<p>One aircraft connects the spectacle to a defining moment in history. \u201cThat\u2019s All Brother\u201d led the D-Day invasion 82 years ago, and it will be at the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the actual aircraft that was recovered and restored,\u201d Scherer says. \u201cI actually got to fly it over Normandy for the 80th anniversary two years ago. It was a life-changing experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mission behind the show<\/p>\n<p>For Scherer, the show is personal. He wants to help others who have served.<\/p>\n<p>The air show hopes to raise money for the Save A Warrior Foundation.
