{"id":480406,"date":"2026-10-29T14:30:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T14:30:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/480406\/"},"modified":"2026-10-29T14:30:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T14:30:08","slug":"man-in-zombie-costume-stabs-2-at-se-austin-coffee-shop-police-say-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/480406\/","title":{"rendered":"Man in zombie costume stabs 2 at SE Austin coffee shop, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE)  \u2014 A man dressed like a zombie stabbed two people Wednesday night at a southeast Austin coffee shop, leaving one of them in critical condition, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The stabbing happened at 8:54 p.m. at Buzz Mill Coffee, located at 1505 Town Creek Drive, after the man caused a disturbance there, according to the Austin Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>A witness told police the man was dressed in zombie makeup and a zombie costume.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbsaustin.com\/news\/local\/6-people-transported-after-3-vehicle-crash-shuts-down-highway-21-in-niederwald\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ALSO | 6 people hospitalized after major 3-vehicle crash on Highway 21 in Niederwald<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Both victims were seriously injured, police said. One was in critical condition, but police indicated the victim survived the attack.<\/p>\n<p>The man fled in a pickup truck at high speed and hit an unoccupied Tesla Cybercab, police said. Officers later took him into custody.
