The Dallas Cowboys have spent three decades haunted by the playoff season<\/a>. It turns out their building is haunted, too.<\/p>\n

A new list by The Sports Geek ranked 47<\/a> major U.S. and Canadian sports venues, and named AT&T Stadium the most haunted in the business. It scored 62 out of 100, edging out Dodger Stadium and Wrigley Field, both of which have a century head start on the creepiness. That\u2019s quite a feat for a building that opened in 2009. Leave it to Jerry Jones <\/a>to reach the top of a list ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n

Researchers scored each venue on published paranormal lore, Reddit chatter, venue age, ghost tours, documented site history, named recurring ghosts and distance to the nearest burial site. Arlington delivered on that last one. Mapped USGS data places Keystone Cemetery just 0.326 miles from the stadium. So, yes, AT&T Stadium has a graveyard for a neighbor \u2014 which, if you\u2019ve watched enough Cowboys playoff games, feels about right.<\/p>\n

At least the ghosts were courteous enough to keep their misfortune to Dallas, so the Boys could beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21<\/a> on Monday night in the City of Brotherly Love (and upsetting losses.) Perhaps the Birds should sage Lincoln Financial Field and call in their closest priest for more desperate measures. We play the Birds again for the big Thanksgiving Day game in Arlington, so if you see the ball moving supernaturally fast towards our end zone, don\u2019t question it. <\/p>\n

The staff accounts of AT&T Stadium spooks are where things get genuinely weird, even by Dallas standards:<\/p>\n

Former employee Selena Sixtos recalled hearing someone moving inside a restroom<\/a> stall late at night. She could see both exits, and the stall was empty. Then there are the kitchen workers who reportedly watched dishes rise into the air and crash to the floor \u2014 some were scared enough to quit on the spot. Cowboys fans know that feeling: something launches skyward with great promise, then hits the turf. <\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s the Landry chill. Staff describe an unexplained cold spot near a room named after legendary coach Tom Landry, fueling theories that the fedora-wearing icon still patrols the sidelines. Maybe they\u2019d play better if that was the case. <\/p>\n

AT&T Stadium was the only venue to earn a perfect score for published paranormal lore. To be clear, these are staff stories and local folklore, not verified hauntings.
