{"id":481923,"date":"2026-10-31T00:50:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-31T00:50:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/481923\/"},"modified":"2026-10-31T00:50:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-31T00:50:09","slug":"humble-man-out-on-bond-for-aggravated-assault-accused-of-pointing-gun-at-young-children-in-east-houston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/481923\/","title":{"rendered":"Humble man out on bond for aggravated assault accused of pointing gun at young children in east Houston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao MvWXB TjIXL aGjvy ebVHC \">HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) &#8212; A man out on parole has found himself back in custody after he allegedly pointed a gun at two young kids in an East Houston neighborhood, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The incident happened on Oct. 11 in the 7300 block of Tremper Street just before 11 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">HPD said that officers responded to a home, where a woman told them that her daughters, ages 3 and 5, ran into the home after a man pointed a gun at them as they played in the driveway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The woman told officers that she went outside and noticed the man, whom she said was someone from the neighborhood. Officials said the man was running away, reportedly holding a weapon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">HPD said that, with help from neighbors, they located the suspect as he ran and arrested him. HPD said officers then found a weapon nearby in a dumpster. He was identified as 29-year-old Seth Castillo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Castillo was later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials learned that Castillo was out on bond after being released from prison in 2025 on parole for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">HPD did not say if anyone else was hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KTRK-TV.
