(OnScene,  Copyright 2026 by KPRC Click2Houston &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">HOUSTON \u2013 A 40-year-old man died after he was shot five times while riding his bicycle in Houston\u2019s Third Ward late Friday night, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. near the 2900 block of Callie Street. Witnesses saw and heard the gunfire, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/topic\/Houston_Police_Department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/topic\/Houston_Police_Department\/\">Houston Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Police said two men wearing hoodies shot the cyclist before fleeing the scene.
