Lt. Gov Dan Patrick, a Houston Republican, spoke last week in Mansfield, warning that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/news\/politics-government\/state-politics\/article317826169.html\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">thousands fewer Republican voters<\/a> had gone to the voting booth compared to Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>When Paxton\u2019s Democratic opponent, James Talarico, came to Fort Worth to rally on the first day of early voting, there were roughly 1,400 in the audience. Paxton\u2019s rally on the same day saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/news\/politics-government\/article317682070.html\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">about 250 people<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 a.m. rally Saturday drew about 175 people, about 70 of whom arrived on a charter bus from Runaway Bay in Wise County. Cullen Yards, where the event took place, is in what Republicans claim as the last red urban county in the United States, Tarrant County.<\/p>\n<p>JD Enright, Paxton\u2019s longtime friend, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bplattprecinct19chair\/posts\/jd-enright-is-paying-for-a-bus-to-take-wise-and-jack-county-patriots-to-this-eve\/1150340777504644\/\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">paid for the bus<\/a> and told the Star-Telegram there were people from Wise County and Jack County loaded up to support the Republican nominee.
