\u201cHe was such a pure, loving and beautiful soul,\u201d said Louis Garcia, Nate Garcia\u2019s father.<\/p>\n
Last night, the 16-year-old was shot on Bayhead Drive while at his mom\u2019s house. His father, who lives elsewhere, rushed to the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cI knew it right as soon as I walked up to the yellow tape. I just felt it,\u201d said Garcia.<\/p>\n
Police say Nate was shot in the upper body around 10 p.m. Friday and died shortly after.<\/p>\n
He left behind his family and the memories they made together, like when they took a helicopter flight over San Antonio.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was just the way that he was seen, the way that his face lit up,\u201d said Garcia.<\/p>\n
But his death also left his family with questions. His shooter is still at large, and neighbors are confused as to why the 16-year-old was killed on their otherwise quiet street.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy son, my baby boy. Why? I want answers. I want it, and I\u2019m gonna get it,\u201d said Garcia.<\/p>\n
