Police say the baby\u2019s father went to the apartment to drop off diapers before arguing with the infant\u2019s 19-year-old mother<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 A woman was killed and an infant was critically injured in a shooting Saturday night at an apartment in the 7700 block of Willow Chase Boulevard, according to Houston police.<\/p>\n

The infant\u2019s father went to the apartment to deliver diapers and got into an argument with the 19-year-old mother, police said. He then pulled out a gun and shot the woman\u2019s mother, about 40, in the back before shooting the baby in the abdomen.<\/p>\n

Police said the 19-year-old carried the infant outside. She was not hurt.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the call around 7:35 p.m. and found the suspect dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Officers performed CPR on the woman and applied a chest seal before Houston Fire Department crews took her and the infant to a hospital.<\/p>\n

The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. As of early Sunday morning, police said the infant was still listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The identities of the victims and suspect have not been released by police.<\/p>\n
