Police were unable to clarify if the shooting happened after the time change due to the ending of daylight saving time.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded after receiving reports that two people may have been shot but police said they found only one person with a gunshot wound to a lower extremity.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics took the victim to the hospital. Police said the injury did not appear to be serious.<\/p>\n<p>The case is being investigated as an aggravated assault. Police said no suspect or suspects have been arrested.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting came as public safety agencies increased staffing for major downtown events, including Halloween weekend and the University of Texas football game. Police estimated the game would draw 80,000 to 100,000 people downtown.
