Seven Lake Highlands High School students committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level earlier this week.<\/p>\n

According to a Richardson ISD release, no other district high school had more athletes sign as the NCAA Early Signing Period opened Wednesday. The period runs through Nov. 19. Pearce came in second with four students committing, followed by Richardson, from which Claire Morrison was the sole commit. Berkner did not have any students declare on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The student athletes, including volleyball standout and area stat leader Elle Holley, committed to prestigious athletic programs including the University of Kentucky, San Diego State and Brown University.<\/p>\n

The seven commits are:<\/p>\n

Dani Chaump \u2013 Girls Soccer, University of Kentucky
\nOwen Faris \u2013 Boys Soccer, San Diego State University
\nElle Holley \u2013 Volleyball, Brown University
\nReeves Hardt \u2013 Baseball, Oklahoma Baptist University
\nHailey Jacobus \u2013 Volleyball, United States Naval Academy
\nQuinn Melson \u2013 Baseball, Abilene Christian University
\nJordis Watkins \u2013 Diving, Georgia Southern University<\/p>\n
