Just a couple of hours away though, different story &#8211; here&#8217;s when they expect snow.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to snow in El Paso, if we get any at all, it&#8217;s not much and it doesn&#8217;t stick around long. If it &#8220;sticks&#8221; at all. No ski runs or tubing hills for us but less than 200 miles from here, you&#8217;re in business.<\/p>\n<p>Mother Nature loves to mess with weather forecasters. Especially in west Texas when you can sometimes experience all 4 seasons in one. She does kind of hold an average though and based on that, here&#8217;s when the snow should start flying nearby.<\/p>\n<p>When Will New Mexico See Snow?<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/abq\/clifeature2012firstsnowtable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">weather.gov<\/a>, here&#8217;s when our nearest New Mexico neighbors will be shoveling snow.<\/p>\n<p>Ruidoso &#8211; November 25thCloudcroft &#8211; Not listed but close enough to Ruidoso to assume 11\/25 for them too.Silver City &#8211; December 6thWhat If I Want Snow But No Special Activities?<\/p>\n<p>If you want snow but don&#8217;t care about skiing, snowboarding, tubing, etc; these places are very close:<\/p>\n<p>Elephant Butte &#8211; December 21stCarlsbad &#8211; December 27thDeming &#8211; January 2ndLordsburg &#8211; December 17thAlamogordo &#8211; December 13th<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/klaq.com\/el-paso-snowfall-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">El Paso Got 22 Inches Of Snow<\/a><\/p>\n<p>What About El Paso\/Las Cruces?<\/p>\n<p>You can forget about skiing and snowboarding, (although, my friends and I did once go &#8220;ice&#8221; skiing by holding on to the tailgate of a moving pickup on an icy road), but you may be able to slap together a snowball fight in Las Cruces on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/abq\/clifeature2012firstsnowtable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">December 27th<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All I could find for El Paso was &#8220;late December&#8221; &#8230; probably the same day Cruces gets theirs &#8230; but the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.extremeweatherwatch.com\/cities\/el-paso\/early-late-snow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">earliest and latest snowfalls<\/a>\u00a0ever recorded here were October 28th, 1980 and April 17th, 1901.<\/p>\n<p>Top 6 Things You Can Not Do in Less Than an Inch of Texas Snowfall<\/p>\n<p>Snow is a beautiful sight to behold, but in Dallas, TX and most of the Lone Star State, there&#8217;s just not much we can do when we get it and plus it&#8217;s usually such a little bit of snowfall anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Pictures From The Great Winter Texas Snowstorm of 2021<\/p>\n<p>Where were you when Winter Storm Uri hit Texas the week of February 14th and 15th 2021?<\/p>\n<p>The country was already dealing with the COVID crisis and then came another one.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Cities like Abilene and San Angelo had record snowfall.
