A crash involving a tow truck on U.S. 287 in northwest Fort Worth shut down the highway for several hours Friday morning and left a man in critical condition, police said.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to a major accident in the northbound lanes of U.S. 287 near Blue Mound Road shortly after 2 a.m., police said. They found a man who\u2019d been ejected from a van during a collision with a tow truck.<\/p>\n
The crash victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The tow truck\u2019s driver was uninjured, police said.<\/p>\n

The northbound lanes of U.S. 287 were closed to traffic for several hours while officials cleared the accident scene. The highway reopened about 6:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
