The Michigan Wolverines (2-0) and TCU Horned Frogs (2-1) are lined up for a Friday clash in Fort Worth, Texas. The contest at Schollmaier Arena will tip off at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NCAA basketball odds around the Michigan vs. TCU odds and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions for the best bets.

Fifth-ranked Michigan was pushed by Wake Forest in its last game. On Tuesday, -15 UM defeated the Demon Deacons 85-84 (Over 168) in overtime. The Wolverines led that game by a double-digit margin in the second half but coughed up the lead and were forced to play from behind in the final minutes of regulation. WFU outpaced UM 10-4 in 3-pointers.

Texas Christian — which lost to Michigan 76-64 last November –played its most recent game Monday when the -18.5 Horned Frogs topped Lamar 78-75 (Under 147). TCU shot the ball well; after filing a 38.8% shooting performance in its season opener — a 78-74 loss to New Orleans — the Frogs have shot over 50% in back-to-back games.

Michigan 79, TCU 74

No interest; PASS.

In 2024-25, the Horned Frogs went 3-1 as a home underdog.

The Frogs’ loss at Michigan last season (Nov. 15) came alongside a 16-6 Wolverine run over the final 6 minutes and 45 seconds. Nearly that entire game was played with a UM-by-4 tilt. In this one, look for the home five to find some success in forcing UM into more mid-range attempts than it wants.

TCU is at a height and talent disadvantage in this matchup. But not to the tune of 7.5 points on home hardwood.

Peg TCU +7.5 (-105) as the value side.

The total has gone Under in 14 of Texas Christian’s last 20 games at home.

TCU was a top-40-in-defensive-efficiency squad each of the last 2 seasons. Michigan likes to push the pace but has a history of being pulled back earlier in the season. The Under went 6-2 in UM’s first 8 games last season.

BACK THE UNDER 159.5 (-105).
