HOUSTON \u2013 A love triangle in northeast Houston turned violent \u2014 and it was all caught on camera.<\/p>\n
A father said his wife\u2019s lover is behind a hit-and-run that left him in a wheelchair, and he\u2019s now seeking justice.<\/p>\n
Miguel Alvarado said he was standing on a street, hoping to confront the man he claims is seeing his wife. Instead, he was hit by a dark-colored SUV that sped off near the intersection of Tidford Street and Friendly Road.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything went dark, and I don\u2019t remember a thing. When I woke up, I was in pain. I broke my foot, and my shoulder was dislocated,\u201d Alvarado said.<\/p>\n
The video shows Alvarado, his wife, and their 14-year-old son. Moments after Alvarado was hit, his son can be seen hitting the SUV\u2019s window. <\/p>\n
Alvarado says he caught his wife of 24 years talking to another man. When he confronted her, she called that man to pick her up. Alvarado was hoping to confront him but instead ended up injured.<\/p>\n
When asked how long he would be in the wheelchair, Alvarado replied, \u201cLike three to four weeks, depending.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the injuries, he is thankful to be alive and grateful his six children are supporting him.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll my children are helping me with all the expenses too,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
KPRC 2 spoke with Alvardo\u2019s wife, she said the man who was attempting to pick her up was someone she was formerly involved with.<\/p>\n
She added that she doesn\u2019t believe he hit her husband on purpose but said he sped up because he felt like he was in danger.<\/p>\n
The Houston Police Department said they are investigating the matter but have not made any arrests or identified the suspect yet.<\/p>\n
