Texas Tech\u2019s 2025-30 Strategic Plan \u2014 an outline designed to shape the university’s growth and priorities over the next five years \u2014 was released in an email Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The plan was shaped by months of feedback from students, faculty and staff, according to the email. It lays out goals to boost the academic quality, grow research and creative projects, improve the overall student experience and build stronger community ties.<\/p>\n
The vision lays out the groundwork for Tech\u2019s path to becoming a member of the Association of American Universities, an organization that includes the country’s top research universities. Joining the AAU would be a step in raising Tech\u2019s national research profile and expanding opportunities for students and faculty.<\/p>\n
The success of this effort relies on the \u201ccreativity, dedication and collaboration\u201d of the whole Red Raider community, according to Monday\u2019s email sent by Tech President Lawrence Schovanec and Provost Ron Hendrick.<\/p>\n
